 Welcome to Finch Contracting Ltd.

 Finch Contracting is based just outside Te Awamutu with a southern base in Kuratau, south of Lake Taupo, covering an area from Ngaruruawahia to Turangi. Finch Contracting was started by Ellis & Jane Finch close to 40 years ago. By 1978 they started providing grass silage services to the Taupo area which continues today. Finch Contracting was one the first in New Zealand to use a Self Propelled Harvester, a Claas 690, which has grown to two Claas 890s and a new Claas 950 arriving for Maize harvest 2009.

The business is now owned and operated by Darcy & Rachel Finch with Ellis & Jane being Directors and still play a major role within the company. The company employs up to 10 staff over winter and 22 staff in the planting and harvesting months.
